Nonylphenol LV is a colorless, viscous liquid with a characteristic phenolic odour. It is a mixture of isomers containing mainly p-nonylphenol. Nonylphenol is characterized by reduced viscosity: 1500-1800 mPa*s at 25°C, as compared to the standard quality of nonylphenol.

Nonylphenol LV is soluble in aliphatic alcohols, ketones, esters and aliphatic hydrocarbons and difficult soluble in water.

Physicochemical properties of Nonylphenol:

Boiling range: approx. 290 – 310°C;

Melting point: appox. -7°C;

Density at 20°C: approx. 0,95 g/cm³;

Flash point: approx.150°C;

Auto-ignition temperature: approx. 370°C;

Viscosity in temp. 25°C: 1500-1800 mPas;

Water solubility: 5,7 mg / dm³.

Nonylphenol LV is the product of alkylation of phenol with the propylene trimer in the presence of acidic ion exchange resin as a catalyst. Then product is purified by vacuum distillation to isolate nonylphenol.The know how is based on the use of ion exchange resins and is featuring the high reaction selectivity which guaranties high quality of our products and secures the minimum quantity of waste-water and the minimum of atmospheric emissions.
