Low foaming ingredient of washing and cleaning agents also dedicated to industrial applications. It is well blendable with other auxiliary non-ionic agents, and in mixtures with anionic and cationic surface active agents. It can be used as an additive for production of food packaging or food contacting materials.
The product is in the form of a clear liquid with a low freezing point, i.e. about -15°C, and an active substance content of approx. 100%. The product has limited solubility in water (it forms cloudy solutions in water), while in butyl-diglycol solutions the product has a cloud point in the range of (25-29)°C (for a 16.7% solution). These characteristics make the product one of the more hydrophobic low-foam surfactants, which determines its properties.
The product is primarily used as a foam-reducing agent. This applies both to household detergents, such as dishwasher detergents, and to professional detergents (e.g. institutional laundry preparations). ROKAnol® LP2529 reduces the foaming properties of other non-ionic surfactants used in washing or laundry formulations. This gives the possibility to use surfactants with high detergent, degreasing and wetting properties, but with relatively high foaming properties. The use of ROKAnol® LP2529 in the same formulation reduces foaming of these ingredients during application. The product is compatible with other formulation ingredients and is resistant to hard water.
ROKAnol® LP2529 is a non-ionic surfactant of the alkoxylated fatty alcohol type. The product belongs to the ROKAnol® LP series, forming a large group of low-foam products dedicated to processes requiring non-ionic surfactants with noticeably reduced foaming, while maintaining application parameters. These are mainly household detergents, institutional and industrial washing as well as other industrial processes.
Due to its anti-foaming properties, the product is also used in industrial processes, for example as an anti-foaming additive in the paper industry.
