Orthodichlorobenzene (ODCB) is an organic compound of the formula C₆H₄Cl₂, which is a strong solvent in liquid form. Orthodichlorobenzene, also referred to as 1,2-Dichlorobenzene, is a colourless liquid that is poorly soluble in water but can mix with most organic solvents. This compound is a derivative of benzene and has two chlorine atoms at adjacent carbon atoms in the molecule.

By paying special attention to the production process and the use of high quality raw materials in the said process, the product leaving the chlorobenzene plant is characterised by very high quality parameters.The use of orthodichlorobenzene can be divided into 4 main segments:

This compound is primarily used as a precursor in the synthesis of 1,2-dichloro-4-nitrobenzene, an intermediate used in the plant protection industry as an insecticide, and for the softening and removal of carbon pollutants on metal surfaces. High quality and purity of the product makes orthodichlorobenzene suitable for use as a raw material in specialised chemical syntheses and in the pharmaceutical industry.In addition, it can be applied as a heat transfer medium in the extraction distillation process and a solvent carrier for TDI production. It is an intermediate for the production of dyes, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and other organic synthesis. ODCB is also used as an industrial odour control, wood preservative, as well as a component of additives for engine oil, lubricants, and paints.This product is offered in steel barrels (250kg), isotanks, road truck tanks.
