EKOPROFLEX W-25 is a two-component polyurethane (PU, PUR) system used for production of viscoelastic foam, it can 'memorize' shapes. It is designed mainly for the production of various types of mattresses and pillows, used for example in the health sector. The system is designed to make it relatively easily customised and adapted to the individual production requirements and conditions of the manufacturer.
EKOPROFLEX W-25 system consists of two components. The first component (component A) is a polyol mixture in a liquid form and of milky-white colour. The second component (component B) – is a polyisocyanate pre-polymer, which is also a liquid, but of much lower viscosity and light brown colour. The components do not contain suspensions. Component B is very reactive and hygroscopic. For the whole processing period it is recommended to store it strictly in a tightly closed container in a dry room.
For the correct processing of the system EKOPROFLEX W-25, the mould should be preheated from 40 -to 50°C. The product can be processed with the use of both low- and high-pressure foaming machines.
The product has a reduced emission of volatile organic compounds (VOC). In proper conditions EKOPROFLEX W-25 may be stored for up to 6 months from the production date (temperature 15-25°C, dry and dark room).
Full mechanical properties of the viscoelastic foam (with memory) are obtained after 24-hour conditioning.
