ROKAnol^®GA3 (C10 alcohol, ethoxylated)

ROKAnol® GA3 is insoluble in water and forms cloudy solutions. It dissolves in organic solvents such as methanol or acetone. The commercial product contains more than 99% of the active substance and solidifies at a temperature of about 0°C. The cloud point of the product is determined at 16.7% ROKAnol® GA3 solution in 25% BDG solution and it is relatively low (30÷33°C). The product has a low HLB value in comparison to other ROKAnol® GA series. It can be part of mixtures with ionic, anionic and cationic surfactants.

ROKAnol® GA3 is distinguished by its lack of foam generating capacity. In addition, it has very good detergent, emulsifying, and dispersing properties. ROKAnol® GA3 is perfect as a co-surfactant in all types of cleaning formulations, especially in products intended for industrial and institutional applications. In combination with ROKAnol® GA6 and ROKAnol® GA8, it shows synergy in the cleaning action. Examples of such applications are de-greasing agents for sheet metal and metal components, floor cleaning products and professional products for catering and hospitality business.

ROKAnol® GA3 in cleaning formulations is usually used in the presence of a hydrotrope or solvent (e.g., BDG), which improves its stability in the formulation. ROKAnol® GA3 has excellent degreasing properties. It can be successfully used as a degreasing agent for metal surfaces. In dynamic tests imitating the effect of a degreasing bath, it proved to be the most effective of the whole ROKAnol® GA series. In addition, the use of emulsifying hydrocarbons, such as mineral turpentine or kerosene, is carried out in solvent-based cleaning agents. In industry it is used for cleaning engines, machine parts, cisterns, etc.

ROKAnol® GA3 is a biodegradable product in the natural environment and fulfils the criteria of the directive on detergents.
